Why We Need Your Help
Becoming a Spiritan Mission Supporter or Rep is your own way of serving and supporting the poor and the needy in our community and around the world?
We make ourselves the advocates, the supporters and the defenders of those in need and the little ones against all who oppress them. (SRL 14.)
At Revive
At Just Youth
Revive is an independent community project established since 2002 by the Spiritans to provide free practical and integrated support to refugees and people seeking asylum, regardless of race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, age or beliefs.
Volunteers at Revive provide a warm welcome at our drop-in centres, facilitate the delivery of some of our main services, or a chance to enjoy relaxing activities, facilitate peer support groups, help on the office and fundraise.
You can volunteer in different ways with Revive:
- Welcome and reception (Hospitality)
- Interpreting and Translation,
- Fundraising,
- Helping at the women’s group, the allotment, providing information and support,
- Befriending clients,
- Admin Support:
Offer time and professional skills to the office team – we can use support with administration tasks, running projects, IT, communications and hospitality.
We make sure that volunteers are supported and able to benefit from training and development opportunities. Many of our volunteers have gone on to take up college places and other training courses or gained employment.
If you would like to volunteer with Revive, get in touch explaining a little about yourself and what time and skills you wish to offer so we can fix a time to discuss the opportunity in more detail with you.
Please fill out a form and email to pat.o@revive-uk.org
Are YOU ready to put your faith into action?
We’re Just Youth, a youth ministry project based in Salford run by the Spiritans, and we work with thousands of children and young people across the North West of England every year.
At Just Youth, we believe that the young people of today are the generation that have the power to change the world for the better, working on the basis that young people have the right to and have knowledge of justice, equality, and diversity.
Through a series of interactive workshops, high energy activities, and creative liturgy, we aim to broaden minds and empower this generation with the knowledge to make informed choices towards a more just future.
- We are looking for volunteers between the ages of 18—26 to join our diverse team in Salford every summer.
- We are looking for young people who are enthusiastic, creative, and willing to make a difference in the world.
- If you’re fresh out of college or Uni, why not rise up to the challenge and take a gap year with us?
- Make your year really different, impactful and rewarding.
We make sure that volunteers are supported and able to benefit from training and development opportunities. Many of our volunteers have gone on to take up college places and other training courses or gained employment.
