Lay Spiritans

Are a group of lay people who are involved in the work of the Spiritans and have made a commitment to live a Spiritan way of life within the context of their everyday lives and working environment.

The Lay Associates 'Way of Life' has been adapted from the 'Spiritan Rule of Life' and provides guidance in the following areas:

Common Vision

The Associates recognise that they are called through our baptism to be a Holy People, striving to build up God's Kingdom on Earth by living out their particularly Christian vocation in the context of their lives and of their work.

Mission

Associates are called as Christian to be 'Good News' to all whom they encounter in their daily lives and bind themselves by their commitment to the Associates to support he work of the Spiritan Congregation. There is an open invitation for all the Associates to meet together at least once a month, to encourage and support each other, to grow and develop, within a formation programme and join together in prayer and liturgy. Prayer is at the heart of the Asssicates Way of Life for it brings union with God and leads to service of others, responding to the call of the Spirit to grow in the likeness of Christ so that God's will might be done in us.
