Financial Support

The Spiritans are  a registered charity no 227350 (England and Wales) and SCO 11294 (Scotland).  We are dependant upon the gifts and generosity of benfactors to fulfill our work both in the UK and overseas.  At present we have special need for help:

  • to assist the Spiritans ongoing work to rebuild the ruins of Haiti after the earthquake.
  • to provide training facilities for our priests in the new foundation in Vietnam, Taiwan & the Philippines.
  • to assist the ever increasing demands of forming  and educating new priests in Africa.
  • to continue our youth mission and youth evangelisation projects in the UK
  • to support people who are refugees or are seeking asylum from persecution, injustice and warfare.

If you are in a position to donate or would like to remember our mission in your will, we would be most grateful. We work on the ground where the reality is evident and the needs acute. We will always ensure that your intentions are honoured. We also keep you in our special prayers and offer a monthly Mass for all our benefactors.

Gifts and Legacies

Gifts in Wills are extremely important in helping us carry on the mission work entrusted to the church following the inspiration of our founders. By leaving a gift in your Will to The Spiritans (Holy Ghost Fathers), you help in this mission work and make a lasting difference.

We are always extremely grateful for every gift we receive – whatever its type or amount. Each person who remembers our work in their Will is a benefactor of The Spiritans (Holy Ghost Fathers) and is remembered regularly in the prayers of the members of the province.

Many supporters prefer to leave a ‘Residuary’ gift in their Will. This is a share of the remainder or ‘residue’ of their estate when all other gifts and payments have been made.

How do I leave a gift to The Spiritans (Holy Ghost Fathers) in my will?

There are three main ways you can leave money to charity:

  • You can leave a residuary gift which is the remainder after all other gifts and debts have been paid. This ensures that your family and others, who are the main beneficiaries, are catered for first and what is left over can then be donated to charity.
  • You can leave a cash lump sum (a pecuniary gift).
  • You can leave a specific piece of property.

Whatever option you choose, if you wish to leave a legacy to The Spiritans (Holy Ghost Fathers) then ask a solicitor for assistance and advice.

What will you do with my money if I include The Spiritans (Holy Ghost Fathers) in my Will?

With the money from a gift in your Will, we are able to continue our missionary work with a special focus on helping those most disadvantaged and in evangelisation following the example and mission given to us by our founders Claude Poullart Des Places and Francis Mary Paul Libermann.

Every penny helps.

So please remember The Spiritans (Holy Ghost Fathers) in your Will.

We are a registered charity in both  England and Wales, and Scotland.

Registered numbers; 227350 (England and Wales) and SCO 11294 (Scotland).

Most importantly however, please remember the works of the province in your prayers.
